Review of Myopia Management is a leading online publication designed to help eye care professionals maximize the emerging field of myopia management. Jobson Optical Group launched Review of Myopia Management (RMM) in March 2019 as the first multi-platform digital asset dedicated to myopia management. Since its inception, RMM has remained committed to producing and sharing the most up-to-date information and educational tools for eye care professionals. The online publication has grown to be the leading source of clinical, practice management, and research information on myopia management.

Kevin Chan, OD, MS, FAAO, IACMM
kevinchan.od@gmail.com Dr. Kevin Chan serves as the new Medical Co-Editor of the Review of Myopia Management. He is the Senior Clinical Director of Treehouse Eyes. He currently serves in the Communications Committee in the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and the Education Committee as a Co-Chair in the Maryland Optometric Association (MOA). He was a Professional Affairs Consultant for Johnson & Johnson Vision and Essilor’s Myopia Taskforce. Dr. Chan graduated with a dual OD and MS degrees (Vision Science) from the New England College of Optometry. He received the prestigious Global Specialty Lens Symposium (GSLS) ‘Rising Star’ award 2024. He was also named a Healio honoree by Healio in 2023 and earned the distinction of the International Academy Certification in Myopia Management (IACMM). He was a graduate of the Leadership Institute at the American Optometric Association (AOA). Dr. Chan frequently lectures nationally and internationally on the subject of contact lenses and myopia management. Notably, Dr. Chan has been selected as a subject matter expert to present a renowned TEDx talk, ‘Myopia- Global Epidemic’. He has served as a panel representative in the US in the inaugural Ophthalmology Innovation Summit (OIS)- Myopia Showcase. Dr. Chan has authored numerous articles on myopia management, cornea, contact lens, and business management topics. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Ashley Tucker |
Medical Co-Editor Ashley Wallace-Tucker, OD, FAAO, FSLS Tucker@bfeye.com Dr. Ashley Tucker graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry where she also completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency. Dr. Tucker is a partner at Bellaire Family Eye Care and The Contact Lens Institute of Houston and is also Adjunct Faculty at the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Tucker spends the majority of her clinic time managing patients who are in need of myopia management and specialty contact lenses. In addition, Dr. Tucker is the secretary for the Contact Lens and Cornea section of the AOA, secretary for the Scleral Lens Education Society, and is a member of the advisory board for GPLI. Most recently she was named a Global Ambassador for Myopia Management by the World Council of Optometry.
Dr. Tucker regularly lectures both nationally and internationally on myopia management and specialty contact lenses.

She received her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Fairfield University in August 2020. Dr. Dwight Akerman |
Chief Medical Editor Emeritus Dwight Akerman, OD, MBA, FAAO, Dipl AAO, FBCLA, FIACLE Dr. Dwight Akerman is the founding Chief Medical Editor of the Review of Myopia Management. He held this position from the publication’s launch in March 2019 until April 2025, when he was honored with the title of Chief Medical Editor Emeritus.Dr. Akerman has published extensively and frequently serves as a peer educator on topics related to myopia management, the cornea, contact lenses, and business management. He is a Global Ambassador for the International Myopia Institute.Dr. Akerman graduated cum laude from the Illinois College of Optometry and earned an MBA from the University of Texas. He has attained Diplomate status in the Section on Cornea, Contact Lenses, and Refractive Technologies of the American Academy of Optometry and is a Fellow of both the International Association of Contact Lens Educators and the British Contact Lens Association. |
