AALEN, Germany — ZEISS Vision Care has announced its latest myopia offering: the Myopia Education Program.
The ZEISS Myopia Education Program is designed to give eye care professionals around the world the knowledge and skills to tackle the growing issue of juvenile myopia. The program consists of insights from both research and clinical practice and also includes interactive case studies that are tailored to different levels of expertise and the location of each participant.
The main advantages of the ZEISS Myopia Education Program include:
- Free access to the “Essentials of Myopia Management” course
- Flexible, self-paced learning
- Evidence-based and highly practical knowledge
- Insights from leading experts
To support ECPs interested in myopia management, ZEISS has committed to developing an education program comprising of several courses on different aspects of myopia and myopia management solutions.
The first course is available free of charge to those interested in myopia and myopia management, and consists of five units, each of which will take an average of 10-20 minutes to complete.
“After completing the course, eye care professionals will have a fundamental understanding of myopia, enabling them to commence practicing myopia management,” said Prof. Padmaja Sankaridurg, Head of Global Myopia Management at ZEISS Vision Care.
The first module consists of the following units:
- Why manage myopia?
- Delaying the onset of myopia
- Managing myopia
- Soft contact lenses, atropine, and OrthoK
- Communication in myopia management
After completing an assessment and achieving the minimum predefined pass rate, the participant will receive a certificate of completion. More courses will become available in the future.
