X-Cel and ABB to Host OrthoK Webinar

September 14, 2021

DULUTH, Ga. — X-Cel Specialty Contacts and ABB Optical Group are hosting a joint educational opportunity geared toward improving outcomes with orthokeratology lenses on Wednesday, September 28, at 8:30pm EDT.

The session is entitled “Improving Overnight OrthoK Outcomes with REMLens,” and it will be hosted by Andrew Biondo, OD, FSLS. Dr. Biondo has been in the eye care field for over a decade, and he currently owns and runs Kirkwood Eye Associates in Kirkwood, Mo. While his practice offers comprehensive eye care, one of his primary focuses is fitting patients for specialty contact lenses.

X-Cel’s Director of Product Management, Anthony Caporali, NCLEC, and ABB’s Manager, Consultation and Education Specialty Contact Lenses, DeDe Reyes, FCSLA, will moderate the event. Both Caporali and Reyes have over two decades of experience in the specialty contact lens industry, and they’ve served in product specialist roles with several companies in that time.

X-Cel launched the REMLens design earlier this summer, and the webinar will focus on the ways that practitioners can use the new OrthoK lenses to benefit their patients and practices.
