\"\"ST. LOUIS \u2014 The Canadian Association of Optometrists<\/a><\/strong> (CAO) announced its support of the World Council of Optometry’s<\/a><\/strong> (WCO’s) resolution to make myopia management a standard of care<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The CAO recognizes that myopia is a global public health issue and cannot be considered merely an inconvenience of uncorrected vision. The organization said in a statement that it supports the WCO resolution and endorses evidence-based myopia management as a standard of care for all at-risk patients.<\/p>\n

The WCO defined the evidence-based standard of care as having three main components:<\/p>\n
