Vision Expo’s Virtual Vision Series will host an hour-long webinar on November 5 featuring Justin Kwan, OD, FAAO, CooperVision’s senior manager, myopia management, professional and academic affairs group.
The webinar, titled The Myopia Opportunity and Obligation, is sponsored by CooperVision and starts at Noon ET. It is open only to eye care professionals. Click here to register.
Myopia is a significant problem and opportunity that cannot be ignored. Eye care practitioners have an obligation to collectively work together to do what’s best for their patients with progressive myopia. To quote Dr. Brien Holden, “We don’t know everything about myopia, but we know too much to do nothing.”
Dr. Kwan will discuss the magnitude of the myopia problem and the need to start conversations with parents early, at and before myopia onset, and setting expectations for all stakeholders in a myopia management program.
Dr. Kwan is a 2009 graduate of UC Berkeley School of Optometry. He completed a contact lens and dry eye residency and taught at Southern California College of Optometry for eight years. He then transitioned to private practice before joining CooperVision in April 2020.
The Virtual Vision Series is part of the virtual discussions being offered by Vision Expo. Other sessions include presentations on diabetic retinal disease and how to implement a scalable patient care experience.
