On June 29, 2022, Review of Myopia Management (RMM) and the Review Education Group hosted a webinar entitled “Latest Innovations in Orthokeratology for Myopia Management.”
The session was led by RMM’s Chief Medical Editor Dwight Akerman, OD, MBA, FAAO, FBCLA, FIACLE, Jennifer S. Harthan, OD, FAAO, FSLS, and Michael Lipson, OD, FAAO, FSLS. The one-hour course was the second component to the recently published OrthoK 2022: The Orthokeratology Education Initiative.
Attendees learned about how to use patients’ case histories, corneal tomography, anterior segment imaging, and ocular biometry to enhance their understanding of OrthoK troubleshooting. The session also included information on instrumentation and advancements in OrthoK, as well as evidence-based literature to highlight when OrthoK should be used for myopia management.
