Global Myopia Awareness Coalition Announces 2026 Board Members

The Global Myopia Awareness Coalition (GMAC) announced its 2026 Board of Directors, bringing together a distinguished group of global leaders dedicated to advancing awareness and driving global action to address the growing epidemic of childhood myopia.

Meredith Bishop, OD, MS, Global Medical Education, Vision at Johnson & Johnson, has been appointed GMAC Board Chair for the 2026-2027 term. She will be joined by Roni Kennison, VP Product Strategy & Development at UnitedHealthcare Vision, who will serve as Co-chair.

The 2026 Board of Directors include:

  • Elizabeth Lumb, Director, Global Professional Affairs, Myopia Management, CooperVision
  • Gregory Lee, Global Head of Commercial Strategy, Santen
  • Kevin Chan, Vice-Chair, Myopia Special Interest Group, American Academy of Optometry
  • Luke Arundel, Chief Clinical Officer, Optometry Australia
  • Olga Prenat, Global Head of Medical and Professional Affairs, EssilorLuxottica
  • Sandra Block, Immediate Past President, World Council of Optometry
  • Tom Lamond, President, Jobson Optical Group

Together, the Board’s collective expertise will play a pivotal role in advancing GMAC’s global initiatives and expanding the coalition’s impact.
