PLEASANTON, Calif. — Treehouse Eyes and Maria Liu, OD, PhD, MPH, MBA, FAAO, have partnered to open a flagship myopia control clinic in Pleasanton, California. This state-of-the-art facility will serve as a hub for delivering cutting-edge myopia management care, research, and education.
The Pleasanton center is led by Dr. Liu, a globally recognized leader in myopia management. Dr. Liu will be the Chief Clinical Director for the new center and join Treehouse Eyes’ executive team as Chief Research and Education Officer. With her expertise in research, clinical education, and patient care, Dr. Liu will spearhead initiatives to expand the company’s capabilities in clinical trials and professional education for eye care providers.

Dr. Liu brings a wealth of experience as a pioneer in myopia management. She is the founder of the Myopia Control Clinic at UC Berkeley and a respected lecturer and researcher with a global reputation. In partnership with Treehouse Eyes, she will focus on advancing clinical protocols, overseeing educational programs for eye care professionals, and driving new research to improve outcomes for myopic children.
