SAN RAMON, Calif. — CooperVision has acquired EnsEyes, a leader in specialty contact lenses in the Nordic region of Europe. It will operate within CooperVision’s Specialty EyeCare group.

Headquartered in Kolding, Denmark, EnsEyes has partnered with customers in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland for the past decade, providing customized lenses and professional education. The acquisition is expected to help accelerate growth of specialty lens adoption across these markets.

“We have collaborated with EnsEyes for years, including its use of MyProcornea for lens ordering. Joining CooperVision will give its highly respected team more resources for growth, further build the expertise of our organization, and support eye care professionals’ soaring enthusiasm for specialty fitting,” said Juan Carlos Aragón, OD, President, CooperVision Specialty EyeCare.

EnsEyes founder — optometrist and former CooperVision executive Esben Nørregaard Sørensen — will remain with the company. Customers should continue to work with their current EnsEyes representatives.
