Art Optical to Host Virtual OrthoK Fitting Workshop with MCO

April 25, 2022

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Art Optical is scheduled to present a virtual orthokeratology fitting workshop with the Michigan College of Optometry (MCO). The session will focus on the MOONLENS, the company’s latest OrthoK lens design for myopia management.

The event will be held on Thursday, May 12, 6:00-9:00 p.m. Eastern. The webinar will introduce the MOONLENS Modern Myopia Management lens design and lead attendees through the clinical steps of an OrthoK fitting with a live patient — from candidacy evaluation to first-day follow-up. Attendees will learn the importance of obtaining reliable topography data, how to use the MOONLENS calculator to build an initial lens, and fluorescein evaluation techniques. General troubleshooting, long-term follow-up plans, and information on maximizing patient outcomes will also be discussed.

(L-R) Dr. Bruce Morgan, Dr. Chad Rosen, and Dr. Josh Lotoczky

Leading the workshop will be Dr. Bruce Morgan, Executive Director of Research & Clinical Support at Art Optical, with MCO faculty members Dr. Chad Rosen and Dr. Josh Lotoczky, along with Cornea and Contact Lens Resident, Dr. Stephanie Schumacher.
