2024: A Remarkable Year for Myopia Management

Juvenile-onset myopia has gained the scientific community’s attention, and 2024 was a stellar year for myopia publications. According to PubMed, over 2,500 papers on various aspects of myopia, childhood myopia, myopia management, and myopia control have been published globally in peer-reviewed literature during 2024.

Some of the most notable and clinically relevant peer-reviewed papers published in 2024 include (in no particular order):

Regularly reading the peer-reviewed literature is one way to ensure that you are providing the highest level of care and prescribing the most appropriate evidence-based treatments to children at risk of progressive myopia. To assist busy clinicians, Review of Myopia Management will continue to summarize the most clinically relevant peer-reviewed articles in its Research Reviews each month.
