Modular, accessible, and open now for online education, the BHVI Myopia Education Program is comprised of three courses: “Managing Myopia,” “Complex Cases,” and “The Business of Myopia.” The “Managing Myopia” course will change how you understand, identify, and manage progressive myopia. “Complex Cases” covers strategies and advice for managing more complex cases. “The Business of Myopia” will teach you how to successfully market and grow your myopia management business.
“The Myopia Education Program serves the profession in providing the needed knowledge to respond to the growing myopia epidemic,” said Yvette Waddell, CEO of the Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI). “Often we have doctors ask us what steps to take to reverse the escalating myopia trend. We are proud to provide the training and education to drive awareness and uptake of myopia management to tackle rising myopia levels – while also ensuring business success.”
BHVI’s Myopia Education Program is designed to be modular and accessible. Each course is made up of six modules that range from 30 minutes to one hour. Each includes interactive content, questions, videos, and polls. The course will teach participants how to communicate with parents and children about the risks of myopia and the need to slow its progression and how to answer common questions from parents about myopia management. It will also describe the available strategies to slow myopia progression and will outline the clinical visits and appointment structure for myopia management.
