BHVI Introduces Staff Training Program in Myopia Management with 300 No-cost Places Available

April 23, 2020

The Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI) today announced the launch of first of its kind staff myopia management training course through its Myopia Education Program. CEO Yvette Waddell acknowledged that it was a difficult time to launch a new training course, and that it is important to keep the optometric industry looking forward.

“We are committed to helping our community be prepared and ready to revive their businesses when they can. And this means having staff right – skilled to support myopia management in their practices.

“We will provide 300 spaces in our Managing Myopia for Practice Staff course to be opened on April 24th at no cost to practices wishing to train their staff during this time.
We are proud that this course continues to affirm BHVI’s leadership in myopia management and that we are able to share this now,” Ms. Waddell added.

The Managing Myopia for Practice Staff is designed to help practices successfully integrate myopia management through dedicated staff training. The online education course recognizes staff as important members of a team approach to deliver myopia management services.

Managing Myopia for Practice Staff draws on knowledge from the world-leading myopia specialists and translates the expertise to easy-to-use, time and cost efficient, self-paced learning programs.

The program is now available through BHVI’s Myopia Education Program portal at education.bhvi.org.
